Explore Old & New Delhi

After breakfast, you will meet an English-speaking local guide at the hotel. Our guide will take you on a full-day sightseeing tour of both Old and New Delhi.

Starting your morning, you will first be visiting Old Delhi. There you will get to see the sites of the Mughal Empire through the monuments, mosques and the narrow streets. You will take a drive past the Red Fort and reach Jama Masjid. It is the largest mosque in India, which is said to hold up to 25,000 worshippers.

From here, you will be taken on the cycle rickshaw. You will travel your way through the streets of the Chandni Chowk market — one of the oldest and busiest markets in all of Asia. This ride will give you a first-hand view of the merchants, food and artefact shops and the swarm of people busy in their daily activities. Ending your Old Delhi journey, you will visit the world-famous 200-year-old Attar Shop (closed on Sunday). For those who don’t know, attar is basically a traditional non-alcoholic perfume that is made by squeezing fragrance directly from natural herbs, spices, fruits and flowers – no chemicals. You can find a variety of scents, from rose, sandalwood, musk, amber, lavender, lotus and many more. It will surely give a unique shopping experience.
In the afternoon, you will be visiting New Delhi for sightseeing, starting with Bangla Sahib Gurudwara. It is a magnificent Sikh temple that is dedicated to the 8th Sikh Guru, Sri Harkishen Sahib, making it the most influential Sikh shrine in New Delhi. As you walk your way through the temple, you can hear the sounds of chants and bhajans. Make sure to visit their community kitchen, often known as 'langar'. It serves meals to over 40,000 people every single day, regardless of a person's religion or background. It is one of the liveliest things you will witness in India.

Next, drive past the iconic landmarks of New Delhi — India Gate, Parliament House and the prime minister's residence. At last, your day will end with a visit to Qutub Minar, built in the 13th century, which is a 73-metre-high tower and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

It is an experience where you will find yourself surrounded by the sun’s reflection and the morning stillness.
After that, you will return to the hotel for breakfast. Your next stop is Agra Fort, which is a massive semi-circular fort. It was originally built as a military structure, but later it was transformed into a royal palace by the Mughal Emperor Akbar. The fort also has underground passages, secret paths and escape tunnels that were used by the historical people of that time.
From there, you will visit the Baby Taj, also known as Itimad-ud-Daulah. It is a mausoleum described as the jewel box of Agra, entirely built from white marble covered with exquisite inlay work, which is considered to be the predecessor of the Taj Mahal itself.
To end your day of Mughal history, you will take a visit to a local sweet shop to get a taste of Agra’s famous Petha. It is a sweet North Indian candy made from white pumpkin. It is soft and comes in different flavours and is one of the delicious candies that every visitor must eat.
