Welcome to Colombo (by international flight) – Negombo (Approx. 01 hr. drive)
On arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport, following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, as you exit the arrival terminal building, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. Thereafter you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel in Negombo and check-in.

Day 2
Travel to Dambulla via Anuradhapura
After breakfast, set off on your journey to Dambulla (Approx. 05 to 06 hrs. drive), with a fascinating en route stop at the ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most significant cultural and religious centers in Sri Lanka. As the island’s first capital dating back to the 4th century BCE, Anuradhapura is home to a vast collection of Buddhist monuments, royal palaces, and ancient reservoirs. Explore iconic landmarks such as the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi Tree, believed to be the oldest documented tree in the world and a direct descendant of the Bodhi tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment. Visit the monumental Ruwanwelisaya Stupa, Thuparamaya, and the beautifully preserved Abhayagiri and Jetavanarama monastic complexes, which reflect the spiritual and architectural grandeur of ancient Sri Lanka. Day 3
Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress & Visit Dambulla caves
Start your day with an early morning climb up the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmarks. Enter through the colossal lion’s paws and ascend the Lion Staircase to reach the summit of this ancient rock citadel built by King Kashyapa in the 5th century. Along the way, admire the world-famous Sigiriya frescoes, depicting celestial maidens painted in vibrant hues, and the Mirror Wall, etched with centuries-old poems and

Excursion to Polonnaruwa & Minneriya National Park
After breakfast, set off for a guided cycling tour through the awe-inspiring ancient city of Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s best preserved archaeological treasures. As you pedal through the expansive ruins, you’ll discover the grandeur of this 12th-century capital—exploring ancient palaces, Buddhist shrines, monasteries, and intricately carved stone statues. Highlights include the Royal Palace complex, the Gal Vihara with its exquisite rock-cut Buddha images, and the impressive Parakrama Samudra, an enormous man-made reservoir that reflects the advanced hydraulic engineering of the era. Nuwara Eliya: Full day hike to Horton Plains
Early this morning, set out on a full-day excursion to Horton Plains National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Sri Lanka’s most breathtaking natural reserves. Situated over 2,000 meters above sea level, the park is a vast plateau of rolling grasslands, misty forests, and sparkling streams, offering a refreshing escape into pristine nature. Begin your moderate 9-km circular hike (Approx. 03 to 3.5 hrs. hike/walk) through scenic trails rich in biodiversity. Keep an eye out for sambar deer, purple-faced langurs, and a variety of endemic bird species that inhabit this highland ecosystem.
