Welcome to Delhi
On arrival at DELHI Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3), following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, as you exit the arrival terminal building, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. After that, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in.
Delhi, India’s capital territory, is also known for its people with happy hearts and dynamic nature. A symbol of the country’s rich past and thriving present, Delhi is a city where ancient and modern blend seamlessly together and stands as one of the fastest developing cities in the world. The thriving cosmopolitan metro has a long history of empire successions from Delhi Sultanate to Mughals to British and still is the political capital of the nation.

Day 2
Flight to Ahmedabad
By Flight: Departure Delhi at 0925 hrs. / Arrival Ahmedabad at 1105hrs. or similar.
This morning, after breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Ahmedabad, the historic and cultural heart of Gujarat. Upon arrival, you will be warmly received and driven into the city to begin your exploration. Start with a visit to the Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, renowned for its exquisite stone latticework windows. The intricate craftsmanship of the famous “Tree of Life” jali is a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture and a lasting symbol of the city’s artistic heritage. Next, visit the serene Sabarmati Ashram, the former residence of Mahatma Gandhi. Situated on the banks of the Sabarmati River, the ashram played a pivotal role in India’s freedom movement. Walk through its simple living quarters, view photographs, letters, and personal belongings of Gandhi, and reflect on the powerful legacy of non-violence and self-reliance he left behind. Afterwards, drive to your hotel for check-in. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of this UNESCO World Heritage City.

Explore Ahmedabad
Start your day early with a visit to the Hathee Singh Jain Temple, an elegant 19th-century temple dedicated to the 15th Jain Tirthankara, Dharmanatha. Built in white marble, the temple is renowned for its detailed carvings and serene ambience, offering insight into Jain spirituality and craftsmanship. Continue to the Calico Museum of Textiles (closed on Monday) – subject to prior appointment, one of the finest textile museums in the world (subject to prior appointment). Housed in a beautifully restored haveli, the museum showcases a priceless collection of Indian textiles, ranging from royal Mughal carpets and temple hangings to intricate brocades, bandhani, and tribal weaves—reflecting India’s rich textile traditions. Later, drive to the Adalaj Stepwell, a 15th-century marvel of Indo-Islamic architecture. This five-storey stepwell is adorned with intricate carvings and motifs, built not only as a water resource but also as a resting place for travellers. Its sculpted corridors and ornate pillars offer a glimpse into the engineering ingenuity and cultural significance of stepwells in Gujarat. Travel to Jambughoda visiting Champaner enroute
After breakfast, drive to Jambughoda (Approx. 04 to 05 hrs. drive), a peaceful forested region once ruled by a princely family and still home to indigenous tribal communities. En route, stop to explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a fascinating blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture. Highlights include the 15th-century Jami Masjid, with its intricately carved stone pillars and imposing domes, and the ruins of fortifications, stepwells, and temples scattered across the site. Continue your drive through rural Gujarat to Jambughoda, and upon arrival, check in at your nature lodge or heritage stay nestled amidst hills and teak forests. This morning, embark on a half-day excursion to a local weekly Haat (tribal market), held every Monday and Thursday, offering a vibrant and immersive window into the rural tribal life of the region. These bustling markets draw various tribal communities from surrounding villages who come to trade local produce, grains, handmade tools, fabrics, and traditional jewellery. It’s an excellent opportunity to witness the colorful attire of the Rathwa, Nayaks, and other tribes, interact with locals, and capture candid scenes of authentic Gujarati tribal culture. In the afternoon, proceed to Chhota Udepur, once a princely state and now a key cultural centre. Visit its lively town square, view the façade of the old royal palace, and explore the Tribal Museum, which houses an engaging collection of artifacts, costumes, and crafts from the region. Bhavnagar - Full day excursion to Palitana
Early this morning, set out for a full-day excursion to Palitana, one of the holiest Jain pilgrimage sites in India. Begin your journey at dawn to avoid the midday heat as you approach Shatrunjaya Hill, where over 800 intricately carved marble temples rise majestically above the plains. Join pilgrims ascending the 3,800 steps to the summit, soaking in the spiritual energy and breathtaking views along the way. At the top, explore revered temples such as the Adinath Temple, dedicated to the first Tirthankara, and witness the serene, temple-studded skyline. Day 8
Travel Sasan Gir and relax
This morning, check out from your hotel and embark on a scenic drive to Sasan Gir (Approx. 4.5 to 05 hrs. drive), the only place in the world where Asiatic lions roam freely in their natural habitat. The journey takes you through the vibrant rural landscapes of Gujarat—past colorful tribal hamlets, farmlands, dry deciduous forests, and scattered acacia trees typical of the region. En route, you may catch glimpses of traditional village life, with women drawing water from wells, farmers tending to their fields, and cattle herders leading their flocks. As you get closer to Gir, the terrain gradually changes into scrubby forests and grasslands—home to a variety of birds and animals. Upon arrival in Sasan Gir, check in to your jungle lodge or resort nestled on the edge of the Gir National Park. Jungle safari in Gir National Park

This morning, set off on a scenic drive to Bhuj (Approx. 06 to 07 hrs. drive), the cultural capital of the Kutch region in Gujarat. Along the way, you may pass through remote tribal hamlets and even glimpse settlements of the Jatt community (not guaranteed as they nomads and mostly on the move), known for their distinctive attire, cattle-herding traditions, and elaborately embroidered garments. Bhuj – Full day excursion to Banni and Hodka villages

Full day excursion to Tribal villages and Dhordo
Today, enjoy a full-day excursion to explore the tribal villages and the culturally rich settlement of Dhordo, located on the edge of the Great Rann of Kutch. The Jatt communities—particularly the Dhanetah and Garasiya Jatts—are semi-nomadic pastoralists known for their striking attire, elaborate silver jewellery, and distinctive embroidery styles that feature bold motifs and intricate stitching. Begin your day with a visit to one or two Jatt villages, where you can engage with artisans and learn about their traditional lifestyle, which revolves around livestock, embroidery, and oral folklore. The women’s embroidery, often done without traced patterns, is among the most valued textile arts in Kutch. Later, head to Dhordo, a charming village known for its whitewashed bhungas, colorful handicrafts, and proximity to the salt desert.
