Welcome to Delhi
On arrival at DELHI Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3), following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, as you exit the arrival terminal building, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. After that, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in.
Delhi, India’s capital territory, is also known for its people with happy hearts and dynamic nature. A symbol of the country’s rich past and thriving present, Delhi is a city where ancient and modern blend seamlessly together and stands as one of the fastest developing cities in the world. The thriving cosmopolitan metro has a long history of empire successions from Delhi Sultanate to Mughals to British and still is the political capital of the nation.

Day 2
Explore the sites of Old & New Delhi
Begin with Old Delhi which still has the influence of the Mughals with monuments, mosques, and forts all through the complicated streets. Take a drive past Red Fort and reach Jama Masjid, the country’s largest mosque with fine architectural extravagance. From here, we will take through the small lanes of the Chandni Chowk market by cycle rickshaws which have there been for more than three centuries. This ride will be most captivating as you get a first-hand view of the merchants, the little food and artefact stalls and the swarming population, busy in their daily activities. End your old Delhi sightseeing with a stop at the world-famous 200-year-old Attar shop (Closed on Sunday). For people who are not aware of what Attar is; it is a non-alcoholic perfume, directly squeezed from herbs, fruits, flowers and spices. One can choose Rose, Sandal, Musk, Amber, and lots of other fragrances. In the afternoon, continue with New Delhi sightseeing starting with Bangla Sahib Gurdwara, dedicated to the 8th Sikh guru Sri Harkishen Sahib, make a visit to the pond (Sarovar), the main central hall and the famous community kitchen which prepares food for 40,000 needy people every day. Then, drive past the official buildings of New Delhi like the War Memorial Arch (India Gate), Parliament House, the official residence of the President of India and the Prime Minister’s house. Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to Qutub Minar, with five storeys and projecting balconies, the 73-meter-high tower is one of the most important landmarks of Delhi and a world heritage site.

Upon arrival in Varanasi, transfer to your hotel and refresh before heading out in the evening for a mesmerising experience on the Ganges River. Embark on a peaceful sunset boat ride, drifting past the ancient ghats as the setting sun casts golden hues upon the river and temples, offering captivating views of pilgrims performing rituals along the banks. As dusk falls, witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti ceremony at Dashashwamedh Ghat, where priests perform synchronised rituals with lit lamps, chants, and rhythmic drumming, creating an enchanting spiritual atmosphere. Day 4
Explore the city of Varanasi
Early morning (before sunrise), meet your local English-speaking guide in your hotel lobby and proceed to the Ghats to enjoy a sunrise boat ride on the river Ganges where mist obscures the silhouette of the sacred ghats, surrounding the holy places behind them in a mystical half-light. A rowing boat provides the best panoramic view for taking in the brilliance. As the sun comes up, the recitations, percussions, and ringing of the temple bells deepen, producing a magnificent glow on the divine steps and their landscape of sanctuary turrets, insignias, and parasols. Before you head back to the hotel for breakfast, visit Kashi Vishwanath temple, situated on the bank of the holy River Ganga. It is the most significant temple in Varanasi, devoted to Lord Shiva and it is one of just 12 in India. The remarkable golden dome makes it one of the city's most identifiable city icons (entry though is restricted for non-Hindus; visit would be from the outside). Later after breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing tour of Varanasi starting from Sankat Mochan Hanuman (Monkey God) Temple is a signifier of belief and courage. Having entered the temple, one can recognise the positive vibes. The temple is devoted to the great Hindu deity Hanuman, who is also recognised for being an impassioned devout follower of Lord Rama. Durga Temple, dedicated to the Goddess Durga. This 18th-century Hindu temple was built by a Bengali Queen. Bharat Mata Mandir, dedicated to our country - Mother India. In the Afternoon, proceed for the excursion to Sarnath (Closed on Friday) situated around 10 Km from Varanasi city, the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha is said to have given his first sermon or in religious language, set in motion the Wheel of Law (Maha Dharmachakra Pravartan). It has been a leading centre for Buddhism and has a rich collection of ancient Buddhist relics and antiques.

Train to Agra and relax

Explore Agra
Rise early this morning to visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (closed on Friday) at sunrise, witnessing this timeless symbol of love bathed in soft golden hues as the first rays of the sun illuminate its pristine white marble, creating a mesmerising and serene sight (please note that a sunrise visit is subject to weather conditions). Spend time admiring its intricate inlay work, elegant domes, and symmetrical gardens while learning about the eternal love story of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal. Return to your hotel for breakfast before heading out to explore the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site showcasing a fascinating blend of Islamic and Hindu architectural styles with its palaces, audience halls, and ornate chambers Later, visit the exquisite Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb, often called the Baby Taj, a beautiful marble mausoleum that inspired the design of the Taj Mahal, Conclude your day with a stop at a local sweet shop to taste Agra’s famous petha, a translucent candy made from ash gourd, flavoured with saffron or rose, offering a delightful culinary treat before returning to your hotel for a restful evening.

Day 7
Travel to Jaipur visiting Abhaneri stepwells enroute
After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your scenic drive towards Jaipur, the vibrant capital of Rajasthan known as the Pink City. En route, stop at Abhaneri, a small village famous for its stunning Chand Baori Stepwell, one of the largest and deepest stepwells in India. Marvel at this architectural wonder built in the 9th century, with its 3,500 symmetrical narrow steps arranged in precise geometric patterns descending 13 stories deep, showcasing the ingenuity of ancient Indian engineering used to conserve water in this arid region. Adjacent to the stepwell, visit the Harshat Mata Temple, dedicated to the goddess of joy and happiness, featuring intricate stone carvings depicting scenes from Hindu mythology. After exploring this hidden gem of Rajasthan, continue your drive through rural landscapes and colourful villages until you reach Jaipur (Approx. 4.5 to 05 hrs. drive) by afternoon. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the evening at leisure.

Start your day of sightseeing in Jaipur by visiting Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds. This unique structure was designed with a mesh of small windows to allow the women of the royal household to observe street festivities without being seen. Admire its intricate architecture and imagine the vibrant scenes that once unfolded on the streets below. Next, proceed to Amber Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, situated atop Aravalli Hill. This magnificent fort and palace complex will leave you in awe with its maze-like passages and serpentine staircases. Explore its stunning architecture and immerse yourself in the rich history of this royal structure. Continue your journey to the City Palace, an impressive architectural marvel built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II between 1729 and 1732. This vast complex is divided into various courtyards, buildings, and gardens, including Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal. Afterwards, make your way to Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory also designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh II, this observatory features sixteen masonry instruments along with six metal ones.
