On arrival at Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport), following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, as you exit the arrival terminal building, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. Thereafter you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in.
Kathmandu, Nepal's capital and most popular tourist destination is spread out over its namesake valley and surrounded by Himalayan mountains. It is home to several historic temples, golden pagodas, breathtaking natural scenery, and intriguing settlements. Kathmandu, at an elevation of 4,344 feet, is where the rivers Bagmati and Vishnumati meet.
Day 2
Kathmandu sightseeing, visit to Patan and a cooking class with the local family
Begin your immersive day in Kathmandu with a guided tour of Kathmandu Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site brimming with centuries-old temples, intricately carved wooden structures, and the historic Hanuman Dhoka Palace. Stroll through its vibrant courtyards and, if you're lucky, catch a glimpse of the Kumari, the Living Goddess. Next, ascend to the serene Swoyambhunath Stupa, one of Nepal’s most sacred Buddhist sites, where the watchful eyes of Buddha gaze over the Kathmandu Valley. Kathmandu sightseeing

Begin at the majestic Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest spherical stupas in the world and a vital centre of Tibetan Buddhism. Join pilgrims as they circle the stupa under the gaze of Buddha’s all-seeing eyes and take in the peaceful ambiance surrounded by colourful prayer flags and chanting monks. Continue to the revered Pashupatinath Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the holiest Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva. Witness the rituals and spiritual practices along the banks of the sacred Bagmati River, where cremation ceremonies take place in accordance with ancient traditions. Drive to Bandipur
This morning, depart Kathmandu for the charming hilltop town of Bandipur (Approx 04 to 05 hrs. drive), a beautifully preserved Newari settlement that offers a blend of traditional culture, serene ambiance, and panoramic Himalayan views. The scenic drive winds through picturesque countryside and terraced hillsides, gradually ascending to this peaceful town nestled above the clouds. Upon arrival, check into your accommodation and take in the charming atmosphere of Bandipur, with its cobbled streets, traditional Newari houses, and inviting village square. Day 5
Drive to Kande and Hike to Landruk (1565 M)
Early this morning, set off on a scenic drive from Bandipur to Kande (Approx. 04 hrs drive), a small hillside settlement and popular starting point for treks in the Annapurna region. Upon arrival, meet your trekking guide and begin your walk along a well-marked trail that gradually ascends through terraced farmland, rhododendron forests, and scattered villages. The trail offers panoramic views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peaks in the distance, with occasional encounters with friendly locals going about their daily routines. Continue your hike (Approx 05 to 06 hrs. trek/walk) through the peaceful hamlet of Deurali, a ridge-top settlement that rewards you with sweeping vistas of the valley below. After a break, begin a gentle descent through forested paths and small streams toward the traditional Gurung village of Landruk, perched on a hillside overlooking the Modi Khola River valley. Day 6
Trek/Walk: Landruk – Ghandruk (1940 M)
After breakfast in Landruk, begin your scenic trek towards Ghandruk (Approx 05 to 06 hrs. trek/walk), one of the most beautiful and culturally rich Gurung villages in the Annapurna region. The trail initially descends through terraced fields and forests to the Modi Khola river, where you’ll cross a long suspension bridge near Jhinu Danda—a village known for its natural hot springs (optional detour for a soak). From here, the path climbs steadily uphill through stone staircases and rhododendron forests, offering occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks and traditional village life. The ascent, though moderately challenging, is rewarded with panoramic views and the welcoming sight of Ghandruk, perched on a ridge with majestic views of Machapuchare (Fishtail), Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli. Day 7
Trek/walk to Birethanti (1025 M) and drive to Pokhara
After breakfast in Ghandruk, begin your descent toward Birethanti, following a well-marked trail that winds through terraced fields, small hamlets, and lush subtropical forests. The walk is mostly downhill and takes Approx. 04 to 05 hrs., offering beautiful views of the surrounding hills, river valleys, and occasional glimpses of snow-capped peaks behind you. Pass through charming villages like Kimche and Syauli Bazaar, where you may see locals working in the fields or children walking to school. The trail eventually leads you to Birethanti, a riverside village near the edge of the Annapurna Conservation Area, where your trek concludes. From here, drive to Pokhara (Approx. 1.5 to 02 hrs.), a peaceful lakeside city nestled beneath the Annapurna range. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure—perhaps with a relaxing walk along Phewa Lake, a café visit, or simply unwinding after days of mountain adventure.
Day 8
Pokhara sightseeing
Today, explore the natural and spiritual highlights of Pokhara, starting with a visit to the scenic Devi’s Fall, where the cascading water disappears mysteriously into an underground tunnel. Just across the road, descend into the sacred Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, home to a revered Shiva lingam and dramatic stalactite formations. Continue to the Seti Gorge, where the powerful Seti River carves a deep chasm through the limestone—visible from a small viewpoint that offers a striking contrast between the peaceful town and its hidden geological drama. Once a thriving hub during the Magar kingdom and later a prominent Newar trading town, Tansen offers a blend of history, culture, and scenic beauty. On arrival, visit the elegant Tansen Durbar, a 19th-century palace built by the Rana governors, showcasing a graceful fusion of Mughal and European architectural styles. Explore its courtyards and learn about the region's fascinating past. Day 10
Travel to Lumbini
After breakfast, check-out and drive to Lumbini (Approx. 2.5 to 03 hrs drive), the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival, explore the spiritual and architectural highlights of the monastic zone. Begin with a visit to the serene Great Drigung Lotus Stupa, a Tibetan-style stupa symbolizing peace and enlightenment. Chitwan National Park

After breakfast, drive to the charming hill town of Dhulikhel (Approx. 6.5 to 07 hrs. drive), This historic Newari settlement is renowned for its well-preserved architecture, peaceful ambiance, and panoramic views of the snow-capped Himalayas on clear days. En route, enjoy glimpses of rural life and terraced landscapes. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may choose to relax and take in the serene atmosphere, or explore the cobbled streets of the old town, dotted with intricately carved wooden windows, ancient shrines, and traditional Newari houses. For those interested in light activity, a short walk to the Dhulikhel Viewpoint offers a tranquil setting to watch the sunset over the mountains.
Day 14
Drive to Kathmandu visiting Changunarayan Temple & Bhaktapur Durbar Square
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu with en-route visits to two remarkable UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Begin with a stop at the ancient Changunarayan Temple, believed to be the oldest Hindu temple in the Kathmandu Valley, dedicated to Lord Vishnu and adorned with exquisite stone carvings. Continue to Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a living museum of medieval art and architecture featuring intricately carved temples, courtyards, palaces, and vibrant local life. After the sightseeing, proceed to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure—perfect for last-minute shopping, relaxing at your hotel, or strolling through the lively streets of Thamel.
