Drive to Galeshwor and hike to Banskharka (1545 M)

Today begins with a scenic drive to Galeshwor (Approx. 02 to 03 hrs. drive), a peaceful village on the banks of the Kaligandaki River, where you'll visit the sacred Galeshwor Temple, an important pilgrimage site dedicated to Lord Shiva. From here, your trekking adventure begins (Approx. 04 to 05 hrs. trek/walk) as you cross a long suspension bridge spanning the Kaligandaki and ascend into the lush hillside. The trail climbs steeply along well-laid stone steps, quickly immersing you in a dense jungle canopy that provides welcome shade from the sun. As you climb, you’ll pass scattered farmhouses surrounded by orange, corn, and lemon trees, with the fresh scents of the forest accompanying your every step. Frequent stops are encouraged—not just to rest, but to take in the natural beauty, including your first spectacular views of Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Nilgiri, and other majestic Himalayan peaks. Trek/Walk: Banskharka - Nangi Village (2665 M)

Departing from Banskharka, you begin by walking through terraced rice and corn fields, where the vibrant green of the crops and the rhythm of rural life create a peaceful start to the day. The trail gradually begins to ascend through a dense pine forest, with the fresh scent of the trees and birdsong accompanying your climb. After a challenging couple of hours hike, you’ll reach the quaint hillside hamlet of Danda Kateri, a perfect spot to rest and enjoy a hearty lunch with stunning panoramic views of the Dhaulagiri range and the southern tip of Annapurna. Trek/Walk: Nangi Village - Mohare Danda (3300 M)

Be sure to pack some snacks and water, as today’s trail leads through a remote stretch with no villages or tea houses en route. The trek begins with a steady ascent into a pristine, untouched forest, where the silence is broken only by birdsong and the rustle of trees. As you climb higher, the path winds through a vibrant mix of rhododendron, oak, and bamboo groves, offering occasional clearings that reveal dramatic views of the snow-capped Dhaulagiri (8,167 m) and surrounding Himalayan peaks. This is a strenuous hike (Approx. 06 to 07 hrs. trek/walk), but the stunning natural beauty makes every step worthwhile. The air grows cooler, the forest denser, and the scenery more spectacular as you approach your destination—Mohare Danda. Perched on a scenic ridge, this lesser-known gem rewards your effort with sweeping panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, wrapped in the serenity of nature, far from the busier trekking trails.

Day 8

Trek/Walk: Mohare Danda to Tikot Village (2200 M)

Today promises to be one of the most unforgettable highlights of your journey, filled with breathtaking views and deep cultural immersion. The day begins with a spectacular sunrise from Mohare Danda, casting golden light over a panoramic Himalayan skyline that includes Gurja Peak, Dhaulagiri, the Annapurna range, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre, and Lamjung Himal. As the first rays hit the snow-capped giants, the views are nothing short of magical, etching a memory that will stay with you forever. After breakfast, the trail descends gradually through a dense rhododendron forest, alive with colour during the spring bloom (March–May), as various species paint the trail in vibrant reds, pinks, and whites. Trek/Walk: Tikot Village to Tipling (2087 M) and drive to Pokhara via Beni

The path winds down steeply through a lush green forest, filled with the sounds of chirping birds and the fresh scent of pine and damp earth. You’ll make your way downhill, occasionally catching pristine views of the Kali Gandaki River snaking its way through the valley far below. The walk can be physically demanding on the knees, so it's a good idea to take breaks— rest on a rock, rehydrate, and snack while taking in the serenity of your surroundings. As you reach Tippling, a peaceful hillside hamlet, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment for completing this off-the-beaten-path trek. Here, your walking journey ends, and a scenic drive via Beni awaits you. The drive takes you through winding roads, terraced hills, and riverside villages, eventually leading you back to the vibrant city of Pokhara (Approx 04 hrs. drive).
