Drive to Nayapul and Hike to Ulleri (2050 M)
This morning, embark on your Himalayan adventure with a scenic drive to Nayapul (Approx. 1.5 to 02 hrs drive), the starting point of your trek into the Annapurna region. From Nayapul, begin your trek (Approx. 03 to 04 hrs. trek/walk) that takes you through charming villages, lush paddy fields, and alongside the gently flowing Bhurungdi Khola (river), offering a peaceful introduction to the landscape of the lower Himalayas. Along the way, you'll encounter friendly locals, traditional stone houses, and vibrant terraced farms that paint the hillsides in shades of green. After reaching Tikhedhunga, continue your ascent with a more challenging but rewarding hike to Ulleri (Approx. 02 to 03 hrs. trek/walk), a picturesque village perched on the hillside. Trek/Walk: Ulleri – Ghorepani (2874 M)
Today’s trek takes you deeper into the heart of the Annapurna region as you leave Ulleri and ascend through enchanting rhododendron forests, which, during spring, burst into vibrant shades of red, pink, and white—turning the trail into a natural wonderland. The gentle rustling of leaves, chirping of birds, and occasional mountain vistas accompany you along this serene and scenic path. After a refreshing lunch and rest at a local teahouse en route, continue your gradual climb toward Ghorepani (Approx. 04 to 05 hrs. trek/walk), a charming village nestled amid the forest and dominated by the warm and welcoming Magar community. Situated at an elevation of around 2,850 meters, Ghorepani offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks and is a perfect base for the famous Poon Hill sunrise trek. Trek/Walk: Ghorepani - Poon Hill (3210 M) – Tadapani (2630 M)
Rise early for one of the most unforgettable experiences of your journey—a sunrise hike to Poon Hill – 3210 M (Approx. 45 mins to 01 hr. trek/walk), a panoramic viewpoint renowned for offering one of the most spectacular vistas in the Annapurna region. As the first golden rays of sunlight touch the peaks of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Manaslu, the snow-capped giants come alive in a breathtaking display of color and light. This awe-inspiring moment, set against the crisp mountain air and peaceful morning silence, is sure to be a highlight of your trek. After soaking in the views and capturing plenty of photos, descend back to Ghorepani for a hearty breakfast. Trek from Tadapani – Ghandruk (2012 M) & drive to Pokhara
After breakfast, begin your final day of trekking with a steep descent to Ghandruk (Approx. 03 to 04 hrs. trek/walk), a journey of roughly three hours through lush forests and stone-paved trails, accompanied by the tranquil sounds of nature and glimpses of the majestic peaks above. Upon arrival in Ghandruk, you'll be welcomed by one of the largest and most picturesque Gurung villages in the region, known for its traditional stone houses, terraced fields, and sweeping views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) looming just ahead. Enjoy a leisurely lunch with a view, then take some time to explore the village, visiting the Gurung Museum, interacting with the warm-hearted locals, or simply soaking in the beauty and tranquility of this culturally rich Himalayan settlement.
