Day 1
Welcome to Delhi (By International Flight)
On arrival at DELHI Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3), following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, as you exit the arrival terminal building, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. After that, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in.
Delhi, India’s capital territory, is also known for its people with happy hearts and dynamic nature. Delhi is a city where ancient and modern blend seamlessly together and stands as one of the fastest developing cities in the world. The thriving cosmopolitan metro has a long history of empire successions from Delhi Sultanate to Mughals to British and still is the political capital of the nation.

Day 2
Fly to Leh & Acclimatize
By Flight: Departure Delhi at 0700 Hrs / Arrival Leh at 0830 Hrs or similar.
Early in the morning, as per the above-mentioned flight, you will be assisted with a departure transfer (with packed breakfast) to Delhi domestic airport to board the flight to Leh, well known for its high elevations and several passes that connect various sites in this tough terrain. Ladakh is also known as the world’s coldest desert. It is dominated by dramatic landscapes, Stunning Gompas (Tibetan Buddhist monasteries), flapping prayer flags and whitewashed stupas. On arrival at Leh Airport, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in. Spend the rest of your leisure day to browse Leh's bazaar (markets). Get a wide range of fairly cost items, such as apparel and accessories. Pashmina shawls, meditation wheels, Kashmiri rugs, apricot jam, Tibetan jewellery, etc.

Day 3
The Magnificent Monasteries around Leh
After breakfast, embark on a breathtaking adventure to explore some of the most exquisite monasteries in the Leh region. Begin your journey at Stok Palace, the royal residence of the Namgyal dynasty, which houses a museum showcasing a rich collection of artefacts, royal attire, and Buddhist art. After exploring the palace, continue to the Shey Monastery, founded in the 17th century, which was once the summer residence of Ladakh nobility. The monastery is renowned for its impressive Shakyamuni Buddha statue, a stunning sight to behold. Take in the serene surroundings and admire the intricate architecture that blends seamlessly with the landscape. Next, head to Thiksey Gompa, an important emblem of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. This magnificent monastery is perched on a mountaintop at an elevation of 3,600 meters, offering spectacular vistas of the Indus River valley and the majestic snow-capped mountains. Conclude your journey with a visit to Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, known for its vast collection of ancient relics and statues. Later return to your hotel in Leh and spend the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Day 4
Travel to Hunder via Khardungla Pass
After breakfast, begin an exhilarating journey to the stunning Nubra Valley (Approx. 04 to 05 hrs. drive), traversing the legendary Khardungla Pass. Situated at an altitude of Approx. 5359 m, Khardungla is one of the highest motorable roads in the world. The panoramic views from the summit are nothing short of breathtaking, with vast stretches of snow-capped Himalayan ranges on one side and the dramatic Leh valley on the other. Take some time to appreciate the prayer flags fluttering in the wind, sending their blessings across the mountains, and capture photos of the iconic Khardungla sign that marks this incredible feat. The sense of accomplishment, coupled with the high-altitude beauty, makes this stop a highlight of any journey through Ladakh. From Khardungla, descent into the stunning Nubra Valley, known for its unique desert landscape, dunes, and lush green oasis. On arrival in Nubra, explore the valley's beauty, which contrasts dramatically with the surrounding mountains. You can also visit local villages and monasteries or simply relax and take in the tranquillity of this remote and picturesque region.

Day 5
Acclimatising to the altitude in Hunder
Today, we take it easy as we adjust to the altitude, setting out on a gentle day hike to Diskit Monastery (3142 m). The walk offers stunning views of the Nubra Valley, where towering mountains contrast with the unexpected sight of dunes stretching between Hunder and Diksit. The trail is mostly flat, making for a relaxed walk across the valley floor toward Diskit, the administrative centre of the region. Afternoon return to Hunder and relax. As evening approaches, indulge in an unforgettable experience by taking a Bactrian camel ride amidst the dunes of Nubra Valley. Let these gentle creatures guide you through vast stretches of golden sands while you revel in the beauty of your surroundings. Return to your hotel or resort and spend the rest of your day at leisure. Enjoy some well deserved relaxation or explore more of what this enchanting valley has to offer before retiring for a peaceful night's sleep.

Day 6
Trek to Wachan
Set off into the valleys this morning with a short drive to Hunder Gompa, where the trek officially begins. After vising Hunder Gompa, leave the main valley, and veer into a narrow side valley, immersing in a quieter, more untouched landscape. The walking today is straightforward (Approx. 05 to 06 hrs. trek/walk), as you follow a wide 4x4 trail through a dramatic gorge, with towering rock walls flanking us as we steadily ascend. Keep an eye out for Bactrian camels, often seen grazing amid the gorge's stunning, multi-coloured rocks. After around 8km, you come across a small Droksa (shepherd camp), where a few trees offer a welcome break from the sun. The valley starts to open, and we’ll set up camp at a point where the valley splits, near the picturesque village of Wachan.

Day 7
Trek to Snia Sumdo
Today’s journey is shorter (Approx. 03 to 04 hrs. trek/walk) but brings to higher altitudes as you gradually ascend. Begin by following the left-hand valley, steadily climbing toward Sernang, a small settlement of houses and fields. This will be the last village you encounter until you reach Phyang. As you continue up the valley, you may need to cross the river several times, depending on the water level (we’ll have ropes for assistance, and it’s highly recommended to bring river-crossing sandals). Reach the Snia Valley, a large valley branching off to the right, and cross over to the far side, where we camp near the junction. The afternoon is free to explore the surrounding hills, offering breathtaking views.

Day 8
Trek to Pullu
Today, venture into the Snia Valley, following the river as our trail steadily climbs higher (Approx. 05 to 06 hrs. trek/walk). Depending on the river’s flow, you may need to cross it a few times along the way. Surrounded by rugged, unnamed peaks and passes, this valley is largely untouched, with only shepherds inhabiting it during the summer months. Before Ladakh had roads, these ancient passes were essential routes for local travellers, but now they’re mostly home to wildlife. Stay alert for sightings of marmots, foxes, and even wolves, and if you're incredibly lucky, you might spot the elusive snow leopard that hunts in these remote hills. Passing several shepherd camps, we’ll set up camp at a peaceful spot near the junction of the valley, close to the river.

Day 9
Continue trekking to Jhingmoche (Approx. 05 to 06 hrs. trek/walk)
Start the day with a gentle descent, bringing to the junction where the Sniu Sumdo and Thanglasgo valleys meet. From here, begin a gradual ascent, passing through lush pastures and tracing the path of clear mountain streams. The trek is a scenic one with sweeping views as you make your way to Jhingmoche (Approx. 05 to 06 hrs. trek/walk). This picturesque spot is a favourite among shepherds who bring their sheep, yaks, and dozes to graze in the fertile meadows. A few temporary huts are scattered around, home to families from Hunder who spend their summers here, living in harmony with the peaceful surroundings.

Day 10
Trek to Lasermo La
Today, you make your way toward the base of the Lasermo La Pass (Approx. 06 to 07 hrs trek/walk), a key highlight of the trek. Leaving the campsite, follow the river upstream, passing through a stunning valley dotted with vibrant meadows. The sight of yaks and dozes grazing peacefully against a backdrop of towering mountains creates a serene atmosphere as you continue your gradual ascent. The trail winds through this idyllic landscape, with streams running alongside us and the fresh alpine air invigorating your spirits. After several hours of walking, you reach the campsite by afternoon. This will be the highest overnight altitude of the entire trip, offering incredible panoramic views of the surrounding peaks.

Day 11
Lasermo La
Today is dedicated to exploring the stunning area around your camp, with several optional walks to choose from. For those keen on adventure, can pack a lunch and set off to explore the valley across from our camp, where a series of picturesque lakes await. The hike to the first small lake is about 04 to 05 km, offering beautiful views. Surrounded by towering, untouched peaks, the scenery here is nothing short of breathtaking. From the second lake, you have the option to descend back to camp, or, for those eager to push further, there’s a rocky trail that climbs to a third glacial lake, providing an even more remote and rugged experience.

Day 12
Phyan Sumdo
Today is one of the most challenging yet rewarding days of the trek (Approx. 08 to 09 hrs trek/walk) as we tackle the Lasermo La Pass. Be prepared with your Yaktrax or Micro spikes for potential snow or ice at the summit—your guide will guide you on this in advance. Start early, leaving the Nubra Valley behind as you begin the ascent towards the highest point of the trek. After a steady climb of 02 to 03 hours, you reach the top of the pass at an impressive approx. 5,400 m. After soaking in the views, you begin your descent, passing through Morubuk, a beautiful area with green pastures. Finally, you reach Phyang Sumdo, where you settle in for your last night of the trek, surrounded by serene landscapes and the sense of accomplishment from crossing such an epic pass.

Day 13
Phyan Sumdo - Phyang (Approx. 03 to 04 hrs trek/walk) – Leh (Approx. 01 hr drive)
Spend the morning descending through the valley, reaching Phyang, a large village near Leh. Before heading back, take the opportunity to visit Phyang Monastery, a beautiful and historic Buddhist site perched on a hilltop, offering stunning views of the surrounding valley. Later continue with a one-hour drive back to Leh, arriving mid-afternoon. Back at the hotel, you can enjoy the comforts of a hot shower and unwind. The rest of the day is free to relax or head out for some last-minute shopping in Leh’s lively bazaars.

Day 14
Fly to Delhi and to onward destination
By Flight: Departure Leh at 0735 hrs / Arrival Delhi at 0900 hrs or similar
Following breakfast, you will be provided with a departure transfer to Leh airport, and board the flight to Delhi. When you arrive in Delhi, you will be escorted to your hotel, where you will check-in and enjoy the remaining of the day at leisure. Later that evening, in accordance with your international flight schedule, you will be assisted with a departure transfer to Delhi International Airport to board your international flight to your next destination.
Day-use room in Delhi until 1800hrs (near airport).
