Day 1
Welcome to Delhi (By International Flight)
On arrival at DELHI Indira Gandhi International Airport (Terminal 3), following customs, immigration formalities and baggage collection, as you exit the arrival terminal building, you will be welcomed by India Tours & Travels executive holding a placard in your name to greet you. After that, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in.
Delhi, India’s capital territory, is also known for its people with happy hearts and dynamic nature. Delhi is a city where ancient and modern blend seamlessly together and stands as one of the fastest developing cities in the world. The thriving cosmopolitan metro has a long history of empire successions from Delhi Sultanate to Mughals to British and still is the political capital of the nation.

Day 2
Explore the sites of Old & New Delhi
After breakfast, proceed for a sightseeing tour at Old & New Delhi. Begin with Old Delhi which still has the influence of the Mughals with monuments, mosques, and forts all through the complicated streets. Take a drive past Red Fort and reach Jama Masjid, the country’s largest mosque with fine architectural extravagance. From here, we will take through the small lanes of the Chandni Chowk market by cycle rickshaws which have there been for more than three centuries. This ride will be most captivating as you get a first-hand view of the merchants, the little food and artefact stalls and the swarming population, busy in their daily activities. End your old Delhi sightseeing with a stop at the world-famous 200-year-old Attar shop (Closed on Sunday). For people who are not aware of what Attar is; it is a non alcoholic perfume, directly squeezed from herbs, fruits, flowers and spices. One can choose Rose, Sandal, Musk, Amber, Lavender, Lotus and lots of other fragrances. In the afternoon, continue with New Delhi sightseeing starting with Bangla Sahib Gurdwara, dedicated to the 8th Sikh guru Sri Harkishen Sahib, which is the most prominent Sikh shrine in New Delhi. On entering the premises, you can hear the magical chants and bhajan which relaxes the mind and the body. Make a visit to the main central hall and the famous community kitchen which prepares food for 40,000 needy people every day. Then drive past the official buildings of New Delhi like the War Memorial Arch (India Gate), Red For, the official residence of the President of India and the Prime Minister’s house. Conclude your sightseeing with a visit to Humayun's Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage site and an architectural masterpiece.

Fly to Leh & Acclimatize
By Flight: Departure Delhi at 0630 hrs. / Arrival Leh at 0750 hrs. or similar
Early in the morning, as per the above-mentioned flight, you will be assisted with a departure transfer to Delhi domestic airport to board the flight to Leh, well known for its high elevations and several passes that connect various sites in this tough terrain. Ladakh is also known as the world’s coldest desert. It is dominated by dramatic landscapes, Stunning Gompas (Tibetan Buddhist monasteries), flapping prayer flags and whitewashed stupas. On arrival at Leh Airport, you will be assisted with a transfer to your hotel and check-in. Spend the rest of your leisure day to browse Leh's bazaar (markets). Get a wide range of fairly cost items, such as apparel and accessories. Pashmina shawls, meditation wheels, Kashmiri rugs, apricot jam, Tibetan jewellery, etc.

Day 4
The Magnificent Monasteries around Leh
Embark on a breathtaking adventure to explore some of the most exquisite monasteries in the Leh region. Begin your journey at Stok Palace, the royal residence of the Namgyal dynasty, which houses a museum showcasing a rich collection of artefacts, royal attire, and Buddhist art. After exploring the palace, continue to the Shey Monastery, founded in the 17th century, which was once the summer residence of Ladakh nobility. The monastery is renowned for its impressive Shakyamuni Buddha statue, a stunning sight to behold. Take in the serene surroundings and admire the intricate architecture that blends seamlessly with the landscape. Next, head to Thiksey Gompa, an important emblem of the Gelug Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. This magnificent monastery is perched on a mountaintop at an elevation of 3,600 meters, offering spectacular vistas of the Indus River valley and the majestic snow-capped mountains. Conclude your journey with a visit to Hemis Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, known for its vast collection of ancient relics and statues. Later return to your hotel in Leh and spend the rest of the evening at your leisure.

Day 5
Travel to Lamayuru visiting Basgo caves and Alchi Monastery en route
Today, embark on a scenic journey to Lamayuru (Approx. 03 to 04 hrs. drive), one of Ladakh's oldest and most picturesque monasteries. En route, stop at Basgo, where you can explore the ancient Basgo Caves, known for their historical significance and stunning murals. These caves were once a major political and cultural centre during the reign of the Namgyal dynasty. Afterwards, visit the Alchi Monastery, a 10th-century Buddhist site famed for its Indo-Tibetan architecture and exquisite wall paintings, considered some of the oldest and finest in Ladakh. Continue your drive through the breathtaking landscapes of Ladakh, with its stark desert beauty and dramatic mountain scenery, before arriving in Lamayuru. Known as the "Moonland" due to its unique terrain, Lamayuru Monastery offers stunning views and a serene atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination. Upon arrival, check-in at your hotel and relax. Later in the afternoon, visit the famous Lamayuru Monastery, perched dramatically on a hilltop. This monastery, also known as Yuru Gompa, dates to the 11th century and is one of the largest and most important in Ladakh. Day 6
Travel to Leh visiting Rizong, Saspol Caves & Phyang Gompa en route
Begin your day with a drive back to Leh (Approx. 03 to 04 hrs. drive), taking in the stunning scenery along the way. En route, stop at Rizong Monastery, known for its peaceful setting and strict monastic discipline. Often referred to as the “Paradise for Meditation,” Rizong is a secluded monastery nestled amidst rocky cliffs, offering a serene and spiritual atmosphere. Next, visit the Saspol Caves, ancient meditation caves adorned with rare Buddhist murals dating back centuries. These caves are a hidden gem, offering a glimpse into the spiritual practices of the past and showcasing intricate artwork. Continue your journey with a visit to Phyang Gompa, one of Ladakh's most significant monasteries. This impressive monastery is known for its rich collection of ancient thangkas (Buddhist paintings) and beautiful murals, as well as the annual Phyang Tsedup festival. Following the cooking session, sit down to enjoy a delicious, homemade lunch with a local Ladakhi family. Later that evening, in accordance with your international flight schedule, you will be assisted with a departure transfer to Delhi International Airport to board your international flight to your next destination.
