Ranthambore —Jungle Safaris
Today offers the most exhilaratingly anticipated experience of the entire adventure – not one but two wildlife safaris throughout the exceptional landscapes of Ranthambore National Park, largely considered among India's greatest and most atmospheric tiger reserves.
Get ready for your first wildlife safari in a shared Jeep early in the morning; this is the most intimate and thrilling way to see the park. Ranthambore's remarkably varied and dramatic landscape ranges from the softly rolling slopes of the Vindhyas to the sharp conical summits of the Aravallis, with dense Dhok woodlands, wide grasslands, plateaus, lush meadows in the valleys, and vivid vegetation along the park's canals and waterways being defining characteristics.
Although the famous Bengal tiger, one of the strongest and stunningly beautiful animals on Earth, is clearly the main attraction at Ranthambore, the park also houses a remarkable and varied array of fauna. You could come across leopards, caracals, hyenas, jackals, jungle cats, marsh crocodiles, wild boars, sloth bears, spotted deer, sambar, and an amazing array of bird species, including eagles, owlets, kingfishers, and painted storks, during your safaris.
In the afternoon, set off on your second thrilling tiger safari across Ranthambore in a shared Jeep, providing you with a second and equally amazing chance to see tigers and other amazing animals in their natural and untouched jungle habitat. Two safaris in one day increases your chances of an amazing tiger encounter by allowing you to see more territory, investigate several parts of the park, and make the most of your possibilities.

When you get to Agra, check into your hotel and spend the rest of the day exactly at your leisure—whether that means lounging by the pool, treating yourself to a calming spa treatment, or just kicking back and taking in the peaceful and profoundly historical ambiance of this remarkable city in quiet and joyful anticipation of tomorrow's truly unforgettable dawn visit.

Day 14
Agra: See the Taj Mahal and other Mughal treasures
For the most unforgettable and profoundly touching experience of the whole trip, visit to the Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays), one of the most famous, most photographed, and most emotionally powerful landmarks in the entire world at sunrise. One unforgettable experience no picture can really convey is watching the Taj Mahal's pristine white marble surface change in the morning light from the faintest hues of pink through gold to brilliant white. (Please note: a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal is dependent on the weather circumstances at the moment.)
Before returning to your hotel for a leisurely breakfast, stroll through the exquisitely kept Mughal gardens, marvel at the remarkably delicate calligraphy etched across the marble front, and examine the elaborate Pietra Dura inlay work, a mosaic technique employing semi-precious stones set into marble. Continue your exploration of Agra with a visit to the imposing Agra Fort — originally built as a military stronghold, this remarkable semi-circular red sandstone fort is filled with underground structures, intricate marble palaces, and fascinating mazes that offer deep insight into the military and courtly grandeur of the Mughal era.
Then, go to the magnificent Baby Taj (Itimad-ud-Daulah), which is known as the Jewel Box of Mughal Architecture and is considered one of India's most beautiful and well-proportioned mausoleums. The elaborate marble carvings, exquisite semi-precious stone inlay work, and the immaculate white of its colour emanate a feeling of refinement, intimacy, and unparalleled serenity, totally different from the grandeur of the Taj Mahal — and equally breathtaking in its own more subdued manner. Make a lovely stop at a local sweet store to taste the well-known Petha, a distinctively North Indian translucent candy made from white pumpkin, mildly seasoned and absolutely unlike anything you will have tasted before, before going back to your hotel.
